What is Supermetrics for Google Sheets Add-on?

The Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on is a Google Sheets extension that allows you to pull data from over 100 data sources (like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Search Console, Linkedin ads, Twitter ads, YouTube, BigQuery etc.) into Google Sheets.

Why use Supermetrics for Google Sheets Add-on?

If you want to pull Google Analytics data into Google Sheets, then you can do that by installing and using the Google Analytics Spreadsheet add-on (developed by Google) or by using the Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on.

I use and recommend the Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on rather than the Google Analytics Spreadsheet add-on.

The Google Analytics Spreadsheet add-on is not as easy to use as the Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on.

If you want to pull data from multiple data sources into Google Sheets, then I would recommend using the paid version of Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on.

The free version lets you download data only from Google Analytics.

How to install Supermetrics for Google Sheets Add-on?

Follow the steps below:

Step-1: Navigate to your Google Drive Account: https://drive.google.com/drive/my-drive

Step-2: Click on the ‘+ New’ button on the top left-hand side of your screen:

Step-3: Click on ‘Google Sheets’ from the drop-down menu:

Step-4: Click on the ‘Extensions’ menu:

Step-5: Click on ‘Get add-ons’ from the drop-down menu:

You should now see a dialog box like the one below:

Step-6: Type ‘Supermetrics for google sheets’ in the search box and then press the enter key:

Your dialog box should now look like the one below:

Step-7: Click on the box as shown below:

Step-8: Click on the ‘Install’ button:

Step-9: Click on the ‘continue’ button:

Step-10: Agree to the terms of services and privacy policy and then click on the ‘Finish‘ button:

Step-11: Click on the ‘Continue‘ button:

Step-12: Click on your Google account:

You should now see a dialog box like the one below:

Step-13: Scroll down and then click on the ‘Allow’ button:

Step-14: Click on the ‘Done’ button:

Step-15: Close the dialog box by clicking on the cross button:

Step-16: Click on the ‘Extensions’ menu. You should now see Supermetrics’ as one of the menu items:

Supermetrics for Google Sheets add-on has been successfully installed.

Step-17: Click on the ‘Launch‘ button to launch supermetrics:

Step-18: Search for ‘Google Analytics 4‘ and then click on it:

Step-19: Sign in with Google to connect your GA4 property with Supermetrics.
