How to use Device Paths Report in Google Analytics
Step-1: Navigate to the ‘Device Paths’ report:
Step-2: Make sure the date range of the report is set to the last 30 days.
Step-3: Note down the sales reported for the top 3 to 5 device categories:
From the data table above we can conclude that the majority of website sales came from ‘mobile-only’ users followed by ‘desktop only’ users and ‘tablet only’ users.
Insight – Very few people use multiple devices during their purchase journey. And people who use multiple devices do not convert into sales. At this point in time, cross-device tracking and cross-device attribution is not that important for this business as the majority of the target audience don’t seem to switch their devices during their purchase journey.
